Ammonia

Never mix ammonia with chlorine bleach, commercial oven cleaners, or much of anything else. Read the label on your bottle of ammonia and treat it with caution.

That said, ammonia cuts through grease and grime pretty well. You can dilute it with water for a heavy duty cleaner or use it as on oven cleaner at full strength. As an alternative, consider the use of lemon juice to cut through grease.

Danger: Ammonia can be damaging to your skin, eyes, and respiratory system. Avoid mixing with other cleaners, especially chlorine (e.g. chlorine bleach)
